first day of school + Gavin's bday

 First day of school! My baby boys are in first grade and Kindergarten!! I am super late in posting...they actually went back to school in July...but better late than never, right?

 This kid didn't want me to stick around, he was ready to go!

 Gavin saw his good friend Lily on the playground, and was so happy to see her!

These kids have been doing a lot of playing outside, despite the heat. I love that they love to be outside!

 We did Gavin's bday party at home this year, and just invited some of his favorite friends and cousins. It was stinkin hot, so we waited till the end of the day, filled up the baby pool, gave the kids water balloons and threw them outside....it was a hit!

 Gavin is not a big cake person, but I made him a cupcake so he could at least blow out the candle. Then the kids made their own ice cream sundaes:) It all turned out great!

Now, to get ready for 2 more birthdays and Halloween!  YIKES!

Last days of summer

So I am soooo behind. The kids have already started school, like a month ago! But I am further behind than that, so instead you get a few pics from our last days of summer! This summer was short, but jam packed with VBS's, swimming, movies, play dates and a trip to Flagstaff. It was over quickly, but it was the perfect amount of time off. We even got a few monsoons in there making the weather somewhat bearable :)

May catch up

I can't believe I haven't posted since our Spring Break Trip! Oh how the time is flying by. We have been busy ( I know this surprises everyone) with 2 kids in football, end of the school year prep, lots of photography, and trying to fit in training for a marathon and 1/2 marathon! So it's time to play a little catch up. Enjoy:


This year, Kaden played his 3rd season with his football team the Bulldogs, and has been excelling as both receiver and now Quarterback.

And then there is Gavin....we weren't sure how this sweet boy was going to do because he is just not as aggressive as Kaden. It only took one game to see that he is a natural. He ran the ball like crazy and got 2-3 touchdowns a game. I am a proud mama!

Gavin is ready to finish up Pre-k (sniff sniff) so last week they had their annual water day. Wednesday is his Graduation! Where has the year gone????

Disneyland 2012

Kaden has 2 weeks off for Spring Break so Joel and I planned a Disneyland trip since we hadn't gone in two years. We decided to keep it a secret and not tell them until the morning we left! We spent the first week of Spring Break playing outside, going to the zoo, going to the park, goofy golfing, and going to the movies. When we started the second week of Break, we told them we were going to Disneyland and they didn't believe us! Especially Kaden, he thought we were messing with him. But, when they went out to the car and saw it all packed up they were ecstatic! We arrived around 4:30pm, changed, and headed straight to the park!

 We stayed for the fireworks and then rode rides until 10 pm! Needless to say, the kids fell asleep quite easily that night!!

 Day 2 started at CA Adventure

 We stayed out  until about 9pm and then tried to get rest for an early morning.

 Day 3! We got to Disney right at 7am!

 Zoey was a good sport and just slept in the stroller whenever she got tired!

One of the big highlights of the trip was Gavin's first time on Spash Mt!! He ended up going like 6 times, and even braved putting his hands up on the big drop! (he is in the middle in the blue shirt)

The last day at Disney we were there for 15 hours. We had non-stop fun!

Can't wait till we can go again and Zoey is big enough for all the rides!!
