Sooo.....

not much going on but thought I would let you know I am still alive....I knew you were all worried. I think I am finally getting closer to having a hand on pregnancy #3, and hoping that the tiredness and sickness is just about done! I have been quite usless these past several weeks. I thought about blogging something cute about my kids but not only could I not remember anything recent, but also looked at my camera to find that I have not taken a picture in quite a while. Pretty lame on my part, but I am blaming that and all of my other shortcomings on the kid....poor thing.

I have come to discover a few things over these past few pregnancies, and trying desperately to find the humor in it all.

Baby #1: so excited. Could NOT wait for maternity clothes, but took me 5 months before I could even wear them. Loved every moment of pregnancy, no stretch marks, no morning sickness, (I know, you hate me right now but wait until I am done so you can laugh at me). When Kade was born I was of course thrilled, but genuinely missed him in my belly moving around.

Baby #2
I thought, "this is great" it will be just like the last one, plus I have all the maternity clothes. Too bad I was popping out of my pants by 3 months. I thought "this is ok, so I am showing a little faster, no biggy." Still no morning sickness, thank the Lord. Energy is a bit less, but it must be because I am already taking care of a toddler at home. Then IT happened. VEINS. Thick, dark, nasty, all over the back of my thighs. The one body part I liked were my legs...I don't have boobs or super shapely arms, but my legs were pretty good. They were painful and I had to finally where granny support hose to help them feel better....sexy. Oh yeah, did I mention it was the middle of summer! Then I out grew all of my past maternity clothes. I couldn't figure out why, I hadn't gained any more weight. Then Gavin was born at 10lbs. 2 ounces. AHA, that explains it.

Baby #3
Soooooo tired. And sick....no hungry....no sick.....no hungry again. Knocked off of my feet, wondering WHY I did this. Oh yeah, I wanted a third kid....details. I have pooch already, oh and acne too. Woohoo, sexy. My belly button is already starting to pop and I am not even out of the first trimester. And, to add insult to injury....the veins are back. Even earlier this time. I forsee a very hot summer with annoying support hose.

So I guess the joke is on me huh. Oh please let this be a girl so I can be 100% sure I am done. I am afraid to find out what baby #4 would be like after the progression so far!

Ok, I got this off of Katie's blog. I dare you to ask your kids the same questions and post it. These are Kaden's answers. Apparently, mommy doesn't do much of anything but nap, eat eggs(very rarely, really!) and tell Kade what to do. Ahhh, the mind of a 3 year old!
Enjoy:)

1. What is something mommy always says to you? just do it
2. What makes mommy happy? not jumping on Gavin
3. What makes mommy sad? jumping on Gavin and roaring at him.
4. What does your mommy do that makes you laugh? mommy tells me to come here and I laugh.
5. What was your mommy like as a child? mommy liked to jump on people.
6. How old is your mommy? 3 1/2
7. How tall is your mommy? so big

12. What is your mommy not very good at? not making good choices
13. What does your mommy do for her job? she goes to nap
14. What is your mom's favorite food? eggs and toast and bread

Disneyland Recap....be prepared for LOTS of pics!

We left Sunday and made the long trip to CA. The kids actually did pretty well, and we didn't even have to use our ear plugs on hand (but yes, Kristi, I brought them this time!)

Here is our lovely self protrait before we left.
We had a pretty good first night and now off to Disneyland!
At the happiest place on earth!
Toon Town Strong Men!

Uh oh. Don't mess with this guy.

We may have bribed the children with candy...c'mon, we're on vacation!

Look at this cuter pie!

Kade LOVED the rides and wanted to go on everything he saw. Dad was happy to oblige. Gavin just watched everything move, and never got scared on any of the rides that we took him on. He just took it all in. All in all we spent 2 full days at the park. The second day we also hit CA adventure. The boys did so well, better than I could have asked for.

Kade loved the race cars!

On Pirate's of the Carribean, Kade is a little alarmed, though I assured him everything was fake:)

Making sure he was tall enough for all the big rides, that one is space mountain....that's right, space mountain. Crazy!

Look close, that is my 3 year old on Splash Mountain. He did it TWICE!

All the rides were fun, but Kade was most excited to meet all the characters. He was so cute and introduced himself and gave them all hugs. Gavin, on the other hand was not too sure about the big costumes..and preferred to watch them from a distance.

He couldn't wait to meet Mickey

Gavin was not too thrilled with Minnie, but Kade liked her!

Tigger and Pooh:)
I just love this picture!

Kade loved Buzz, and asked to see him everyday.
Here are some highlights form CA Adventure:

Gavin looking studly in his 3-D glasses before the muppet show!
Kade loved seeing the little einsteins "live"
Look at these cute little Firemen!

like father like son:)surfer dude
Joel told the boys to sit there....were we not supposed to do that? It's not like there was a sign or something:)
More rides for Dad and Kade

whew, what a fun couple of days!

We had 3 day passes to the park, and the first two days were great. WE planned to do a short day on the third day, which was good because not only did it rain....a lot...but the boys hit there limit. Complete overload followed lots of whining and tantrums. So, we cut the day short, and just went back to the hotel and played around.
horsing around after we were rained out.

All in all, a great trip! It was a Looooong drive home though, (yes, we finally had to break out those earplugs, or as Kade calls them, ear drops!) and I think we are still in deprogramming mode. All well worth it:)
